CEMBUREAU – The European Cement Association has an exciting full-time opportunity for experienced communication professional to manage and implement the organisation’s communication campaigns, with a focus on project management and leadership skills.

Candidate profile: (pdf version)

  • Developing and implementing, CEMBUREAU’s long- term and short-term communication strategy
  • Manage the cross-sectoral relationship with campaign team and members
  • Tracking project performance
  • Implementing necessary feedback processes between the different stakeholders
  • Manage the online visibility (social media and website) of the organisation
  • Presentations on the progress of different projects
  • Manage the media presence and queries of the organisation
  • Draft/edit press releases, interviews and journalist requests
  • Working with the communications team to develop traditional, digital and public relations
  • Define and coordinate communications department budget
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation; project plan, budget, minutes, meeting agenda, follow-ups etc
  • Chair meetings: meeting structure, participants, content, agenda minutes etc

Essential skills:

  • Project Manager with strong leadership and facilitation skills
  • Excellent level of English (both spoken and written)
  • Excellent understanding of campaigning and how good content can change real-world outcomes
  • Being a team player and doing your best work when working with others


  • Master’s degree in public relations or communications or related field;
  • 6- 8 years’ experience in communications with a strong focus on EU regulation and policy;
  • Excellent writing, editing and communication skills;
